Steven Renaldi, a fifty five year old recovering alcoholic and social worker at a shelter for troubled youth enlists the aid of four residents in a battle against a corrupt police Captain. Chiefy, Falcon, Flash and Thespian share the common attribute of post traumatic stress syndrome brought about as a result of childhood abuse and neglect. Although emotionally scarred, all four possess amazing physical attributes. Chiefy has incredible strength and is virtually immune to pain. Falcon uses her Kung Fu expertise to thwart all who would harm her. Flash sees colors in the air when danger looms. Thespian can disguise his voice and body to be anyone he wishes. They are joined by Dr Jackie Sorrentino, a psychologist and former patient of Steven Renaldi. She exhibits the ability to spirit herself across space and time through the practice of Kung Fu. She mentors five year old Brianna Wilson, an adorable and precocious child who also can access the space/time continuum by walking through "singing doors." This group, the Chowder Head Brigade, is charged with dismantling the vice empire created by the evil Captain Rook.
